HB Workplaces, A COR Company — a 1955 building in Huntridge, once home to the Gambler’s Book Shop.
The building dates to 1955 and served the neighbourhood first as a market and then, for many years, as the Gambler’s Book Shop — a Las Vegas fixture with a colourful clientele.
After it fell vacant the space was transformed with Dapper Development: skylights opened up, windows and an outdoor patio added, and the original bow truss ceiling revealed. It supports 20 people day to day and many more when the occasion calls for it.
