Bigelow Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit research institute in East Boothbay, Maine, recognized for its pioneering ocean science and sustainable design. Creative Office Resources partnered with Harriman on a 25,000-square-foot expansion featuring state-of-the-art teaching labs, modern classrooms, a student center and lounge, conference and huddle rooms, private offices, and outdoor areas. At its heart, a 300-seat forum serves as a central hub for lectures, meetings, and scientific exchange. Bigelow’s campus was the first scientific research laboratory in Maine to achieve LEED Platinum status, and the new Harold Alfond Center for Ocean Education and Innovation continues that legacy as one of the first Build America, Buy America Act-compliant projects, supporting domestic economic growth through American-made materials.
