The University of New England, a private research university in Portland and Biddeford, Maine, has partnered with Creative Office Resources to source furnishings for their campuses for over 30 years. Most recently, UNE united their health professions programs on a single campus which included a new four-story facility, The Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences, with lounge areas, meeting rooms, conference rooms, classrooms, dining areas, community spaces, and a 240-person tiered lecture hall. The COR team, alongside project partners SMRT and Ledgewood Construction, provided furniture solutions that fit the project aesthetic, budget, and timeline. The result is a learning and work environment that fosters interprofessional education and collaboration among students from different disciplines.
